Lathe Machine Operator

**About Pradhan Industries**

Pradhan Industries is a well-established mining and beneficiation company with over 40 years of experience in Odisha. We supply high-grade graphite to key industries across India. As part of our plant and maintenance team expansion, we are looking for skilled **Lathe Operators** to support day-to-day machining and repair work at our workshops and plant locations.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Lathe Machine Operation**
- Operate lathe machines for turning, facing, threading, drilling, grooving, and other machining operations.
- Set up tools, measure raw materials, and ensure precision during machining.
- Read and follow technical drawings or instructions for custom parts.

**Repair & Maintenance**
- Fabricate and repair shafts, pins, bushes, pulleys, and other plant mechanical parts.
- Assist in regular repair and breakdown maintenance of equipment using lathe support.
- Support plant fitters and maintenance staff in mechanical jobs.

**Measurement & Quality**
- Use calipers, vernier scales, micrometers, and gauges to ensure proper size and tolerance.
- Maintain high accuracy and finish on all machined parts.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of the machine and work area.

**Record Keeping & Communication**
- Maintain daily job register or logbook of lathe jobs done.
- Inform the maintenance head or workshop supervisor of any tool damage or machine issues.

**Eligibility Criteria**
- ITI / Diploma in Fitter / Turner / Machinist or equivalent.
- 2-5 years hands-on experience operating lathe machines in an industrial or workshop setup.
- Should know basic maintenance of lathe machine (oil, belt, cleaning).
- Must be physically fit and ready to work in shifts.
- Must follow all safety procedures.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
