The Computer Teacher will introduce and teach foundational computer skills to students from Grades 1 to 5. The role includes creating an engaging and interactive learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. The teacher will ensure that students gain a strong understanding of basic computing concepts and develop essential digital literacy skills.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Diploma or certification in computer education is an advantage.
- **Experience**: 1-2 years of experience teaching computers to young learners or a similar role (preferred).
- **Skills**:

- Knowledge of child-friendly programming tools and online safety practices.
- Strong communication skills to explain concepts simply and clearly to young students.
- Creativity in designing engaging lessons and activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching and Curriculum Development**:

- Teach age-appropriate concepts of digital literacy, including the safe use of the internet and devices.
- Introduce students to basic coding and programming concepts using visual and interactive tools (e.g., Scratch, Blockly).
- Use fun, hands-on activities to reinforce key concepts, like creating simple presentations, drawing, or using educational software.
- **Technology Integration**:

- Encourage students to use computers as tools for research, creativity, and learning.
- **Student Engagement**:

- Use interactive teaching methods to keep young learners engaged and excited about learning technology.
- Encourage problem-solving and critical-thinking skills through computer-based activities.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Maintain a structured and organized computer lab environment.
- Teach students about proper care and use of computer equipment.
- Monitor student activity to ensure the safe and ethical use of technology.
- **Assessment and Reporting**:

- Evaluate student progress through practical and written assessments.
- Provide regular feedback to students and communicate progress to parents through reports and meetings.
- **Maintenance and Collaboration**:

- Ensure all computer lab equipment is functional and report technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with other teachers to support technology-enhanced learning initiatives.
