**Job Summary**:
The Academic Counselor provides guidance and support to students in their academic journey, assisting them in course selection, career planning, personal development, and overcoming academic challenges. This position is essential for fostering student success and ensuring that students meet their educational goals. The counselor collaborates with faculty, administrators, and students to create a positive, supportive, and well-structured academic environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Academic Guidance**:

- Advise students on course selection, degree requirements, and academic policies.
- Help students set realistic academic goals and assist with developing academic plans.
- **Career Counseling**:

- Assist students in identifying career interests and aligning them with academic programs.
- **Personal and Social Development**:

- Offer personal counseling support for students facing academic stress, time management issues, or personal difficulties affecting their academic performance.
- **Student Advocacy and Support**:

- Act as a liaison between students and faculty to ensure that students’ academic needs and concerns are addressed.
- Recommend students for academic support services, such as tutoring, counseling, or special accommodations.
- Track student progress and academic performance, identifying at-risk students and providing proactive interventions.
- **Record Keeping and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of student counseling sessions, academic plans, and progress reports.
- Prepare reports on student success, challenges, and trends in academic performance.
- Ensure confidentiality of student records in accordance with institutional policies and regulations.
- **Continual Professional Development**:

- Stay informed about trends in higher education, academic advising best practices, and student support strategies.
- Participate in training, workshops, and conferences to enhance professional skills and knowledge.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- **Experience**: Freshers-5 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or related roles in educational settings.
- **Skills**:

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
- Ability to build rapport with students and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in counseling techniques, academic advising, and career counseling.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of educational programs, student services, and institutional policies.
- Proficient in using student management systems, word processing, and spreadsheets.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
