**Role Overview**:
The Design & Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing technical designs, system layouts, shadow analysis, and project cost estimations for solar rooftop and EV charging infrastructure. This role is key in ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and profitability of all proposed projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare PV layouts using AutoCAD, Helioscope, or PVsyst based on site survey data.
- Conduct shadow analysis, module placement optimization, and structure design input.
- Design electrical SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and system configurations for solar and EV setups.
- Ensure all designs comply with MNRE/GEDA/CEA standards.
- Prepare detailed project BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and pricing sheets.
- Estimate project cost based on size, location, and system components.
- Coordinate with purchase and sales teams to update pricing and margins.
- Identify technical deviations between planned design and actual site feasibility.
- Provide design documents and cost sheets for client proposals and tender bids.
- Assist sales and project teams in technical presentations or client clarifications.
- Maintain design repository and standard templates for various system sizes (1kW to 1MW).
- Ensure documentation is audit-ready for subsidy, DISCOM, and regulatory bodies.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Diploma / B.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in solar EPC design and estimation.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Helioscope, PVsyst, MS Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Understanding of net metering rules, GEDA norms, and subsidy documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commercial awareness.
- Basic knowledge of EV charger sizing and load estimation is a plus.
