**Job Description**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented R&D Chemist to join our growing team. The person will play a key role in taking product trials, preparing samples for new and existing clients, managing lab inventory, and testing for the stability of new formulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Formulation Development: Assist in the development of new cosmetic formulations by conducting research, performing experiments, and analyzing results under the guidance of seniors.
- Sampling: Preparing samples from existing bases for clients as per their requirements.
- Raw Material Evaluation: Evaluate the quality and suitability of raw materials and ingredients for use in cosmetic formulations, including conducting compatibility tests and reviewing supplier documentation.
- Taking Sample Batches: Prepare prototypes of cosmetic products according to established formulas and procedures, ensuring accuracy in ingredient measurements and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed records of formulation experiments, test results, and laboratory procedures in compliance with company protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with different departments, including sales, purchase, operations, and documentation to support the successful development and scale-up of products. Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates on project progress and findings.
- Lab Maintenance and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory, including proper storage and handling of chemicals and equipment. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and scientific advancements related to cosmetic formulation and manufacturing. Seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement to contribute effectively to R&D projects.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetology, Pharmacy or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the cosmetic industry will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of cosmetic formulation principles and sampling techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
