**Role Summary**

The Editor-in-Chief will oversee the entire editorial process, from content planning to final publication. You’ll lead a small team of writers, editors, and creatives, ensuring the magazine maintains its tone, quality, and mission. You will also collaborate on creative strategies and help steer the long-term editorial vision of the publication.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute the editorial calendar in alignment with the magazine’s mission and audience.
- Review, edit, and approve all written content for tone, clarity, and quality.
- Collaborate with writers, contributors, graphic designers, and photographers to produce cohesive and engaging issues.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of volunteer writers and editors.
- Write editorials or lead features, when necessary.
- Stay up-to-date on trends relevant to your niche and ensure the magazine remains timely and compelling.
- Assist with social media captions or promotional blurbs (optional).
- Ensure deadlines are met and content is ready for publication.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven experience in journalism, editorial, or publishing (student publications welcome).
- Passion for storytelling, content curation, and creative collaboration.
- Ability to lead and inspire a creative team.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Familiarity with digital publishing tools (e.g., Google Docs, WordPress, Canva, or similar platforms).
- A collaborative spirit and flexible mindset.
