**Position Overview**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and skilled **Dance Teacher** to join our vibrant arts team. The Dance Teacher will be responsible for nurturing students' interest in dance, teaching various dance forms, and helping students develop their skills in preparation for performances and school events.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching Dance**:

- Deliver engaging and dynamic dance lessons for students from Grades 1 to 12, focusing on various dance forms (e.g., classical, contemporary, folk, hip-hop, or creative movement).
- Develop lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of students.
- Promote discipline, creativity, and expression through dance.
- **Choreography**:

- Design and choreograph dance performances for school events such as annual day, sports day, inter-school competitions, and cultural festivals.
- Work collaboratively with students to create and refine dance routines for school productions.
- **Student Development**:

- Assess students' progress in dance, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Organize dance workshops, masterclasses, and special events to enhance student skills and engagement.
- **Event Management**:

- Coordinate dance rehearsals and assist in the management of cultural and school events.
- Ensure students are well-prepared for performances, maintaining high standards of presentation and performance.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work with the school faculty and administration to integrate dance into school activities and promote the importance of performing arts.
- Collaborate with other arts teachers to develop interdisciplinary programs for students.

**Qualifications and Skills Required**:

- **Educational Qualification**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dance (BFA, MA in Dance, etc.) or equivalent certification from a recognized institution.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience teaching dance, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school or educational institution.
- Proven experience in choreography for school events and competitions.
- **Skills**:

- Strong proficiency in multiple dance forms (e.g., Indian classical dance, contemporary dance, western styles like hip-hop, jazz, etc.).
- Ability to work with students of varying age groups and skill levels.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to inspire students and cultivate their passion for dance.
- **Personal Attributes**:

- Creative, patient, and enthusiastic.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with students, parents, and faculty.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Knowledge of dance therapy or physical fitness techniques.
- Experience in organizing and conducting dance workshops or summer camps.
- Previous experience working in a school environment or knowledge of CBSE norms is an advantage.
