Downstream IT - Platforms and functions manages the ERP estate in Downstream which provides significant value to the business. DS GSAP ERP is one of the largest and most complex SAP systems and is on the path to be in the next-generation SAP ERP journey via S/4 business suite implementation.

The platform team manages all asset integrity, technical integration and release management aspects of the SAP ERP platforms downstream including the connected analytic platforms such as BW/HANA and Azure.

**What's the role**
- Enable and protect business value through IT. Ensure value case for Asset integrity /Strategic upgrades to Next Gen ERP platforms managed by DPF
- Create and set the strategic vision of the business and IT to enable deployment of upgrades, Refreshes of data, to Nextgen ERP platforms & Nextgen Data platforms in the ERP portfolio
- Define and execute strategic plans to upgrade various existing tools/platforms in Nextgen ERP and engage with S/4 COE and delivery teams to achieve the vision for DPF
- Accountable to deliver stable platforms that support new technology integration in Nextgen ERP portfolio to meet strategic goals for the business
- E2E accountability for IT to the business area
- for upgrade and upkeep of the NextGen ERP & Nextgen Data platforms
- Stakeholder Relationship Mgmt with Business Focals, ITMs, COB PLMs, SOM OLMs, Architects and vendors among others
- Demand management of Asset integrity and strategic initiatives that would result in an upgrade to Nextgen ERP platforms - Planning, Translate to resources
- Requirements Analysis and Opportunity framing - Upgrades to Nextgen ERP platforms & components
- Ensure secure & reliable delivery of upgrade/upkeep/strategic projects/Products in the ERP portfolio
- Monitor progress of stability/innovative capability provided by the Nextgen ERP platforms, propose enhancements & define the roadmap
- Produce a holistic view of the Projects & Products related changes in the Nextgen ERP platforms to enable Business and IT teams to plan further changes
- Accountable for current and future integrations of portfolios internal to ERP as well as other portfolios around ERP portfolio
- Drives collaboration with IDSO, Global functions, upstream etc. to gain knowledge of and deploy best practices leveraging the existing knowledge base if any on new technologies
- Partners with APD, Business IT and SOM in making recommendations for Cross-functional integration projects as well as implementing new technology in the current landscape
- Influences and assists the DPF leadership as well as collaborates with the DS Architect Group, ERP Functional Design Leads and portfolio managers to assist the DPF ERP portfolio to continue meeting the business needs
- Understand and shape the New capabilities delivery roadmap with ITMs and Architects. Work with DS Architects to define PoCs and success criteria for innovative technologies in Nextgen ERP
- Stays abreast of technical innovations/developments of SAP ERP, S/4 HANA, & Azure-related components in Shell as well as outside of Shell. Identifies opportunities for collaboration/best practice sharing
- Safeguard robustness and performance of the Nextgen ERP platforms in PDF
- Act as the arbitrator in case of technical issues and conflicts during scoping and execution of projects in Current & Nextgen ERP systems
- Facilitate product/Portfolio reviews for DPF portfolios on a regular basis to identify areas needing actions on IRM aspects and cost optimization
- Maintain and report cost transparency for DPF portfolio on the specified frequency
- collate TCO, CTO working with IDT managers, ITSO and finance
- Comprehend Demand in the ERP portfolio, Resourcing thereto, and report to senior leaders on gaps/challenges to be actioned upon

**What We Need from you**

Technical consultant with SAP ABAP background, middleware, integration aspects, and knowledge on the Biz side added advantage. SAP Solution architecture experience would be encouraged. Knowledge of the latest SAP trends/developments/products. Experience in S/4 HANA and in cloud/Azure framework.
- 13+ years of experience in IT working on SAP ERP & Data platforms technical aspects.
- Strong experience working with various Interfacing technologies with SAP ERP ( ECC 6.0, S4 HANA etc), SAP ABAP and SAP Architecture.
- Knowledge of the latest SAP trends/developments/products. Experience in S/4 HANA and Azure framework.
- Deep Expertise working with ABAP in SAP ERP and S/4 HANA is desired.
