SOC Architect

**Responsibilities**:
As an SOC Architect, you would need to perform following functions:

- Architect/lead the development of a communications ICs having advanced signal processing, packet processing, RF/Analog portions. Leadership experience in either packet switching/Signal Processing/RFIC/Firmware is a must
- You will be responsible to partition a particular requirement into several smaller domain specific problems.
As an example you will decide what is done in FW and what is done in HW for a particular requirement.
- You will be required to make CPU choices, Memory estimates, MIPS estimates for blocks not yet developed that are at a conceptual stage.
- You will be required to interact with design teams focused on DSP, ASIC, RF/Mixed signal, Firmware, test development, package, PCB. Familiarity with these topics is expected.

Qualifications:

- Very good understanding of modern communications systems
- Ability to work across different functional areas, such as DSP, RFIC, ASIC, and software to be able to articulate requirements and partition the problem across different domains.
- Passion for thinking through the problem and ability to do the required theoretical analysis
- Knowledge of transaction level modelling to be able to predict throughput, bandwidth required for a interconnect buses would be an advantage
- Should have a working knowledge in chip development flow, from model development, micro-architecture, verification, tape-out of ASICs.
- Experience in silicon bring-up and debug would be an added advantage.
- 10+ years of work experience in at least one or many of the following areas:

- Wireless modulator/demodulator design
- Wireline modulator/demodulator design
- Packet switch with QoS
- GPS systems
- Aircraft communication
- Flash/NAND memory controller design
