**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Automation Solution Design**: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Chef for configuration management, software deployment, and infrastructure provisioning on Windows-based systems.

2. **Infrastructure Management**: Manage and maintain Windows-based infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance through automation and configuration management tools.

3. **Scripting and Automation**: Develop scripts and automation workflows using PowerShell, Ruby, or other scripting languages to streamline repetitive tasks, enhance system efficiency, and automate routine administrative tasks.

5. **Collaboration**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and network engineers to implement automation solutions and improve system reliability and efficiency.

6. **Documentation**: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, installation procedures, and troubleshooting guides for Windows-based infrastructure and automation workflows.

7. **Monitoring and Troubleshooting**: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime and optimize system performance.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or administration, with a focus on Windows-based environments.
- Proficiency in Chef configuration management tool, including writing cookbooks, recipes, and using Chef server.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Ruby, or other scripting languages.
- Experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

**Good to have**:

- Chef certification (e.g., Chef Basic Fluency Badge, Chef Certified Developer).
- Experience with other automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or PowerShell DSC.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as **Docker**.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

**About Careator Technologies**:
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
