**Job Title: QC Chemist (Quality Control Chemist)**

**Location**: Paonta Sahib, Himachal
**Department**: Quality Control (QC)
**Reports to**: QC Manager / Senior QC Chemist

**Job Purpose**:
The QC Chemist is responsible for performing analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in accordance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and regulatory guidelines. The role ensures that products meet the required specifications for safety, quality, and efficacy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Analytical Testing**:

- Perform a variety of chemical and instrumental analysis (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-VIS, FTIR, titrations) on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Ensure accurate and timely results to meet production schedules.
- **Method Development and Validation**:

- Support method development, validation, and verification to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Assist in the development of new test methods when necessary.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all testing activities in compliance with GMP guidelines.
- Ensure that data integrity and accuracy are maintained during the testing process.
- Prepare and review test reports, Certificates of Analysis (COA), and related documents.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Ensure all analytical testing and results are in compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EMA).
- Investigate deviations or out-of-specification results and assist in root cause analysis.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and test data as required.
- **Equipment Calibration and Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Ensure that laboratory instruments are functioning properly and maintain equipment logs.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required and comply with all company safety guidelines.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with the Production, R&D, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss issues and improve quality-related processes.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- **Experience**: 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Control role within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, UV-VIS, etc.).
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and ICH guidelines.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
