Electrical Supervisor

An electrical supervisor manages a team of electricians, coordinates projects, and ensures electrical safety:

- **Manage projects**: Plan and lay out work, coordinate projects, and maintain schedules
- **Supervise electricians**: Direct and coordinate the work of licensed electricians and other trades personnel
- **Ensure safety**: Stop the use of dangerous equipment, ensure electrical safety rules are followed, and report any incidents
- **Maintain electrical systems**: Ensure maintenance systems are in place, and perform maintenance and repairs
- **Order materials**: Estimate and order materials needed for projects
- **Prepare reports**: Make progress reports and relay information to the project manager
- **Train new electricians**: Train new electricians or establish a team to facilitate training
- **Stay updated**: Stay updated on changes to electrical codes and regulations
- **Establish work practices**: Establish high-quality work practices that align with the employer's mission

Electrical supervisors should also have knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs, strategic thinking skills, and conflict resolution skills.
