**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical works (preferably in ship repair, marine, or heavy industry).
- Strong technical knowledge in pumps, engines, piping, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise day-to-day mechanical works such as fitting, assembly, repairs, and testing of equipment.
- Allocate tasks to technicians, fitters, and helpers ensuring effective use of manpower.
- Oversee ship repair / refit / newbuilding mechanical activities (pumps, engines, piping, HVAC, hydraulics, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Monitor job progress, inspect quality of work, and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Coordinate with engineers, planners, and other departments for smooth execution of projects.
- Maintain records of manpower deployment, materials used, and job completion reports.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper upkeep of tools, equipment, and worksite discipline.
