The Central Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA) team is responsible for governance of the ICG Technology lines of business execution of MCA. The SVP Business Risk Officer - MCA Team is the team lead managerial role which provides operational and service leadership and direction to teams. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. Contributes to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Has responsibility for ensuring consistency and quality in execution of MCA and shared responsibility for timeliness of results and paths to green for Tier 1-2 Residual Risks. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

**Responsibilities**:

- MCA Team Lead works in the ICG Technology-aligned Central Risk and Control Governance Team and with EO&T MCA Architect delegates and line of business MCA teams to ensure consistent and timely execution of the MCA Standard and Procedures within ICG Technology.
- Ensure each line of business has appropriately reported test results and issues, and provide a senior summary for the ICG Technology Risk Officer and ICG Technology Head.
- Produce and/or oversee thematic reviews to identify issues and concerns applicable across ICG Technology, and escalate items as needed.
- Manage the Central MCA Team to meet MCA objectives of the function including Governance, Oversight, Control Monitoring, Coordination of Quarterly Risk Assessment (QRA) and Annual Risk Assessment (ARA) activities, and Change Management for controls monitoring.
- Represent ICG Technology in EO&T forums which require participation.
- Implement automation opportunities to improve control monitoring.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of data gathering and transformation of data to facilitate line of business testing, and analyze results to provide trending and feedback loop for management oversight, applicable “deep dives” and input to change management of MCA processes.
- Independently assess risks and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to control failures by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
- Governance and oversight may include (not limited to) technology operational risk, risk for example.
- Suggest ways to improve the current process and share best practices with senior leadership.
- Participate in senior leadership meetings to analyze documentation and processes to ensure risks and control points are properly addressed.
- Responsible for executive level reporting and taking ownership of specified projects and tasks.
- Build trusted internal and external customer relationships.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as MCA SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Qualifications:

- 10-15 years of experience, including 5+ in Operational Risk
- Experience managing global teams
- Expertise in Excel working with large data sets to transform data
- Strong familiarity with Operational Risk policies, procedures and standards and overall MCA program and Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) requirements and activities
- Experience with Internal and Regulatory Audits
- Governance experience is preferred
- Experience with Citi Risk & Control and the ability to leverage that experience to drive MCA functionality and reporting improvements
- Demonstrates capacity to work in highly pressured & fluid environments
- Prior change management experience with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in the execution of strategic projects
- Detail oriented with strong organization and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate internally with diverse stakeholders and drive accountability and ownership with key business partners and process owners
- Strong relationship management skills with ability to deepen relationships and build partnerships across the key support areas like Audit, Compliance, Control, Independent Risk, and Legal to ensure franchise and other key risks and needs are considered
- Proven ability to question and identify opportunities within existing processes and business practices by leveraging previous experiences and knowledge of the ICG Technology Businesses and Functions
- Ability to create and facilitate project governance routines to remove roadblocks, facilitate decision-making and drive strategic initiatives across functions
- Self-motivated with a passion for establishing and maintaining a culture of control within the business
- Strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of working in collaboration across large organizations, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues/requests
- Continuous improvement mind-set - assess impact of actions and adjust as needed;
