Reports to: Procurement Manager

**Job Summary**:

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supplier Research and Engagement**: Conduct research to identify potential suppliers, gather information on their products/services, and assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
- **Vendor Evaluation Support**: Aid in evaluating vendor proposals, comparing prices, and assessing supplier capabilities to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- **Assist in Negotiations**: Support the Procurement team in negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers, striving for favorable agreements that meet company requirements.
- **Purchase Order Processing**: Assist in generating and processing purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- **Inventory Management Assistance**: Help monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely replenishment and optimal stock levels.
- **Data Analysis and Reporting**: Assist in compiling and analyzing procurement data to identify trends, track spending, and support decision-making processes.
- **Documentation and Record-Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and communications with vendors.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Prior knowledge of procurement processes is not required but is a plus

**Career Path**:
Upon successful completion of the trainee program and based on performance and business needs, the individual may have the opportunity to advance to roles such as Procurement Assistant, Buyer, or other positions within the procurement department.
