Backup Operations

**Mandatory Skills**:
Professional level certifications in Backup or related data protection area Technical IT Infrastructure experience from an international service or consultancy firm.

Work experience & good knowledge in Infrastructure qualification, Compliance requirements in Pharmaceutical industry, GxP knowledge will be an advantage.

Experience supporting CFR 21 Part 11 validated systems.

**Technical pre-requisites**:

- Solid understanding and work experience with Backup and Data protection operational support.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in trouble-shooting Backup issues in tandem with Network/Application/Windows Operating system issues. Solid understanding and work experience with data restores and Backup procedures for multiple platforms.
- Solid understanding and work experience in Physical and Virtual Desktop (VDI) environments, storage devices (EMC Data domain, EMC Isilon)
- Solid understanding of working with vaulting, storage unit management and VMware query based backups.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, AD, DNS, SMTP, NTP, IMAP and SNMP.

**Main job tasks**:
The position will be responsible for define, build and operate for the Backup and Data protection service and provide Technical operational support globally for PSnet (Product Supply IT). The position will also be involved in the design and implementation of large scale IT Infrastructure and IT Security projects. This position is responsible for enabling fast and optimal project execution according to roll-out plans and ensuring best possible operation and maintenance. Furthermore the responsibility is to ensure a standardized platform in Product Supply IT to establish strong relationship with stakeholders, end users, Service owners and IT suppliers.

It is key that the position holder perform daily management, within the rules and regulations of the Global IT unit in India, Product Supply Systems Operations & Global IT in Denmark.

**Technical Operations & Delivery:

- Lead, Designed, Implemented & Manage Backup environments in NetBackup and VSR, hardware procurement, network configuration, software installation, qualification, new data protection schedules and backup strategies for PSnet in Novo Nordisk.
- Lead, Collaborated & Implemented documentation, solutions for continuous availability, integrity, a highly complex backup environments and demonstrate ability to assess technical impact to the server along with technical risks.
- Lead & Managed backup environment, storage capacity, data transfer speed, licensing and performance issues for each backup environment and future proofing the plans of securing the backup without any Designed, Upgraded\Implemented and qualify the PSnet backup tools to Latest standard versions as per the Market Standards.
- Leading my Own Tasks & innovating changes in PSnet as per the Market Working Closely with the Team and Guide/Help other team members wherever required in their tasks\Implement the backup servers and client servers to the latest standard versions as per the Market Standards.
- Being Primary responsible for any escalation related issues/major issues in complete backup environment area, performed troubleshooting, root cause, case &crash dump/bug analysis/fixes, and Handled Interviews/Onboarding new employees to the functional area.
- Provided Insights, technical expertise and strategical decisions to the Lobs of various departments and ensured smooth operations post implementation.
- Predicted potential problems that may arise in the future and offered the necessary fixes to prevent
- Took an initiative to find the permanent fix for issues arising repeatedly in PSnet backup environment area.
- Operations and maintenance of Production environment for Backup and Data protection service.
- Ensure a standardized IT infrastructure platform for Backup and Data protection
- Participate in roadmap for relevant technologies and processes, incorporating needs for local
- Recommend and present project proposals and service improvements at management meetings (GITO India Management meetings and Steering Committees).
- Participate in relevant IT Infrastructure architecture
- Work closely with the Technical SMEs in the Global IT Infrastructure units to ensure availability of system and support Operations.
- Responsible for ITIL process management such as Incident, Problem, Change, Release and Configuration management.
- Participate in audits and inspections when required

- Backup and Data protection service, Netbackup,VSR,backup solutions and File share IT Infrastructure and IT Support for Product Supply IT sites andGlobal Production Datacenters.
- Technology and compliance support on Backup and Data protection service and IT Infrastructure technology platforms.
