Through our state-of-the-art processing facility, Surivit N.V., we not only produce nutritious and eco-friendly food products but also help rural women inbuilding a better future for themselves and their families by creating jobs for them.

Position Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and optimize existing food processing methods for cassava-based products, focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Experiment with formulations to improve taste, texture, shelf life, and nutritional value.
- Ensure the quality and safety of all products, adhering to strict food safety regulations and standards at every stage of production.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and quality control tests to maintain consistent product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of production processes, ingredient specifications, and quality control data.
- Assist in the selection and sourcing of raw materials, ensuring consistent quality and availability.
- Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot processing issues and improve production efficiency.
- Stay updated on global food technology trends and integrate best practices into product development.
- Assist in training and mentoring production staff on food safety and quality control procedures.
- Support the cooperative's sustainability initiatives by exploring environmentally friendly processing techniques and reducing waste.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food processing, ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and quality control procedures (e.g., HACCP,GMP).
- Proven experience in food product development, particularly with root crops orgluten-free products.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to solve complex product development and formulation challenges.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and analytical equipment.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to improve food quality and production.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch or local languages is a plus.
