**Job Description of a Transport InchargeResponsibilities**:

- **Fleet Management**:

- Oversee the maintenance and servicing of vehicles.
- Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition and comply with safety regulations.
- Maintain records of vehicle registration, insurance, and servicing.
- **Logistics Coordination**:

- Plan and schedule transportation routes efficiently.
- Assign drivers and vehicles based on workload and priority.
- Monitor deliveries and ensure timely dispatch.
- **Staff Supervision**:

- Manage and supervise drivers and other transport staff.
- Conduct training on safety regulations and driving policies.
- Address driver concerns and ensure compliance with company policies.
- **Compliance & Safety**:

- Ensure adherence to transportation laws and regulations.
- Implement safety measures to prevent accidents.
- Conduct inspections and audits of transport operations.
- **Cost Control & Budgeting**:

- Optimize fuel consumption and transportation expenses.
- Keep track of expenses and suggest cost-cutting measures.
- Manage procurement of vehicle parts and supplies.
- **Coordination with Other Departments**:

- Work with warehouse, procurement, and operations teams to streamline logistics.
- Ensure smooth communication between departments for efficient transport management.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in transport management, logistics, or fleet operations.
- Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and transportation software.
