Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Information Security & Data Privacy Intern with a keen interest in data privacy, information security, and regulatory compliance. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data privacy, technology, and law. You will be assisting our infosec team in ensuring compliance with information security standards, governance, risk & compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in legal research on Indian data privacy laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, IT Act, 2000, and other data privacy regulations.
- Draft and review privacy policies, data processing agreements, and other related legal documents.
- Support in assessing and mitigating legal risks associated with information security practices.
- Collaborate with the infosec team to ensure alignment between legal requirements and security frameworks.
- Monitor regulatory developments in data privacy within India and prepare internal reports.
- Support in contract review and negotiations related to data protection clauses.

**Requirements**:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in law (LLB/LLM).
- Strong knowledge of Indian data privacy laws and regulations.
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
- Strong drafting and written communication skills.
- Interest in information security and emerging technology regulations.
- Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, and other security standards is advantageous.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR & ADHICS is advantageous.
- Prior internship experience in data privacy is a plus.
