**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Development**:

- Assist the Pre-Voc Head in developing and adapting pre-vocational curriculum to meet the unique needs and abilities of students with special needs.
- Assist in designing engaging lesson plans and learning activities that promote the development of practical skills such as personal hygiene, time management, money handling, and basic vocational skills.
- **Instructional Delivery**:

- Deliver high-quality instruction using a variety of teaching methods and instructional strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide direct instruction in vocational skills, including skill readiness, workplace communication, and basic vocational tasks.
- **Pre-Vocational Skills Development**:

- Teach basic workplace skills such as following instructions, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.
- Introduce students to various vocational fields and career options through exploration activities and guest speakers.
- Provide hands-on training in tasks related to specific vocational interests, such as food service, retail, office administration, or manual labor.
- Teach essential safety practices and procedures relevant to different work environments.
- **Individualized Support**:

- Assess students' strengths, challenges, and learning styles to develop individualized learning plans and goals.
- Provide personalized support and accommodations to help students overcome barriers and maximize their potential.
- **Progress Monitoring**:

- Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and data collection.
- Use assessment data to inform instructional decisions and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure student success.
- **Behavior Management**:

- Implement positive behavior support strategies to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Use proactive approaches to prevent challenging behaviors and teach students appropriate social and behavioral skills.
- **Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other members of the special education team, including therapists, paraprofessionals, and support staff, to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share student progress and solicit input on individualized goals and interventions.
- **Community Integration**:

- Foster partnerships with local businesses and organizations to create meaningful learning experiences for students.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay informed about best practices and trends in special education and vocational training.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to supporting students with special needs.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Vocational Education, Home Science, or a related field.
- Experience working with children or adolescents with special needs, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, or developmental delays.
- Knowledge of vocational assessment tools, transition planning, and community resources for individuals with disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community partners.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of children with special needs.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
