**Job Purpose**:
Sample preparation Mixing and testing for plant Quality Assurance, summarize test results; generate and maintain laboratory documents to ensure prompt and high-quality service to test requestor. Generate and Ensure accuracy in precision in testing data of rubber lab.
Maintain all scaleup rubber laboratory instrument in a good working conditions.

**Job Context & Major Challenges**:
Job Context: Birla Carbon has intensified focus on R & D over last couple of years. Sustainability and carbon capture and conversion are some of the very crucial initiatives that will help Birla Carbon to achieve ambitious goal to be net zero carbon emission. Some of the initiatives and technologies developed by Birla Carbon will be very useful for other ABG businesses (e.g. Novalis, Ultratech, etc.,)
Birla Carbon Taloja laboratory is uniquely positioned to drive the efforts in these direction as it is co-located with other ABG businesses.

Job Challenges: The laboratory function needs to maintain the Assurance of the Manufacturing Quality with additional ownerships of instrument to keep it healthy with routine maintenance.
Manage samples management storage and disposals to Patalganga plant.

- KRA1
- 1)Ability to work in shift duties 2nd Shift between 12 pm to 9 pm. Execute Lab work of mixing, curing and testing in Routine Quality D3192 projects in time bound manner.
- Perform mixing, curing & testing on samples as per the requested test plan within requested completion date and prepare test record.
- Operations of mixing lab facility between 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm in scaleup facility.
- After 6:00 pm usage of Rubber Lab in Main premises up to 9:00 pm only.

- 2)Equipment management & Vendor Coordination
- Ensure all instruments in Labs
are in good working conditions.
- Schedule and coordinate vendors for preventive maintenance AMC, Calibrations and service of all instruments in scale-up Lab & main Lab. Maintain equipment history cards.

- 3)Documentation - communication of results in instruments datasheets.
- Data extracting from instruments. Report preparations in specified format.
- Maintain documentations.

- 4)Quality Assurance
- Perform roles & responsibilities of a Lab Technician as per defined in ISO-17025 standard.
- Adhere to Quality Objective & Policy of Lab.
Ensure Impartiality, Confidentiality and Integrity of test results
- Maintain internal quality records datasheets & reports.
- Maintain traceability of sample
- Reporting any abnormality of the test facility or result.
- Participate in QMS, Internal & External ISO17025 Audits.

- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines.
- Highlight if any unsafe acts or unsafe environment in all Lab.
- Maintain samples managements storage to compile with 5s activities.
- Participate in safety audits and evaluations of laboratory operations, Implement improvements and timely closure of safety audit observations.
