**What we offer**
Group Accounting is part of Group Business Finance. Group Business Finance is furthermore responsible for general accounting, business controlling, voyage controlling and technical business controlling. Group Business Finance is also responsible for financial systems and processes across the Group and the internal reporting to the business / divisions.
You will report to the Senior Country Accounting Manager and will be part of a seven-member team.
This role is open in the team responsible for managing general accounting tasks for the Danish entity. The tasks of the Accounting Assistant will amongst other include:
- Accounting of specified countries including depreciation, provisions and cut off procedures.
- Responsible for designated chart of account general ledger including reasoning for periodical variances.
- Monitoring and reviewing system interfaces and reconciliations thereon.
- Assisting in business audit reviews and statutory audit reviews
- Assisting in performing SOX controls
- Continuous improvement of business processes
- Participation in finance and cross functional projects
- Maintaining quality of accounting with timely delivery
- Being an active member of the team
- Ad-hoc tasks and analysis
**To succeed in the job**
Furthermore, we expect that you have/are:
- Working knowledge of IFRS / Ind AS
- Hands-on experience in accounting and reporting
- Worked on standard ERP viz. SAP, MS Dynamics for at least two years.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a significant drive
- Data-driven with strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
