**Finalité du poste**:
The activities became Limagrain India in 2019 and it is based in the city of Hyderabad, in the state of Telangana. Maize is our main crop in India, with an important research effort. We also have sales and research for Hybrid Rice, Pearl Millet, and a specific Malting Barley program. The product range is completed by sales of Mustard and Sunflower seeds.

To support our vision and research development, we are now seeking highly motivated individual to join Limagrain India Field Seeds Research Team. Under supervision of Head - Line Breeding Tropical Asia, you will engage in line breeding activities at India and Thailand to address the related market objectives in Maize, Rice and Peral Millet crops.

**Vos Missions**:
Strategy / business orientation
- Support the Head of Line Breeding Tropical Asia and Line Breeders in the region on the execution of the breeding strategy and germplasm structuration, fully integrate tools and methods available to bring new lines and ultimately hybrids on the market.
- Support line creation, evaluation, and results analysis process, assess, analyze, and reports key achievements and functioning of the line breeding program.
- Develop a good understanding of technical challenges through interactions with all relevant stakeholders, including Line Breeders and Scientists in Limagrain Field Seeds Global Research

Breeding Excellence
- Implement most appropriate breeding tools and methods available for line development.
- Analyze all data with appropriate tools and take breeding decisions in agreement with the respective breeding teams.
- Data driven decisions through use of new tool/techniques.
- Visit the Corn, Rice and Millets programs and trials across India and Thailand.

Science
- Leverage internal as well as external R & D capabilities to update his / her breeding project and strategy to the newest and most efficient technical innovations.

Team Integration
- Influence breeding teams dedicated to the breeding project to follow the company standards (health, safety, and environment and other). Promote innovation and maintain high technical and scientific level of Asia Research team.
- Develop close relationship with Line Breeders operating in other programs or other territories as well as all Limagrain Global Field Seed Research organization.

Finance
- Support consolidation of budgets and investments for the Line breeding program and appropriately justify any deviations. In collaboration with management, propose mid-term plan over 3 years for the program.

**Compétences : ce que nous attendons de vous**:

- PhD or equivalent in Plant Breeding and Genetics, or a closely related field, is required.
- Ability to use software for data analyses, management, presentation, and reporting; advanced competence in statistics and data management is required.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are needed.
- Experience in Crop Breeding or Breeding Technologies in a world class breeding program (5years) is desired.
- Dedicate 25% of your time for travel to visit Maize, Rice, Millet breeding programs.
