Cssd Technician

The CSSD Technician is responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of medical instruments and equipment used in surgical and clinical procedures. This role ensures all instruments are processed according to hospital protocols and infection control standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, and medical equipment.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ETO sterilizers, and washers.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, damage, and functionality before and after sterilization.
- Assemble and pack instrument sets according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.
- Label and store sterile supplies properly to maintain sterility.
- Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly.
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to meet procedural needs efficiently.
- Participate in regular training and updates on sterilization techniques and safety protocols.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or certification in CSSD or Sterile Processing.
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Knowledge of sterilization methods and infection control procedures.
