**Responsibilities**:
- Design kW/MW scale battery energy storage systems (energy storage, micro grid, interconnection, communication), including sizing the battery and battery PCS appropriate for the project;
- Perform value engineering, engineering studies, prepare detailed estimates, cost analysis and as-built designs;
- Develop battery container layouts using surveys when available;
- Coordinate with electrical, civil and PV engineering team for complete packages for installation;
- Develop single-line and three-line diagrams with required electrical details for the battery system in accordance local codes and requirements;
- Review load profiles and Engineer Battery Energy Storage Systems to meet project goals;
- Model energy storage system performance;
- Coordinate, obtain and integrate BMS, EMS and SCADA designs for the battery system from third party monitoring companies;
- Understand AC Coupled and DC coupled Battery Energy Storage systems;
- Develop technical specifications and scopes of work for engineering firms and contractors.
Requirement:
- Knowledge of cells, modules, Battery racks and MW (Mega-watt-hour) class containers applicable to class containers.
- Knowledge of stationary energy storage such as power grid frequency and power peak-shaving in factories.
- Knowledge of cell selection for ESS, cell monitoring unit (CMU).
- Knowledge of 300V AC, frequency 50Hz or 60Hz, Three-phase and Three-wire systems
- Through experience and knowledge in Energy Storage System
- Good communication skills, self-motivated with demonstrated problem-solving capability
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Constant attention to details and accuracy
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant.
- 4+ years of practical experience with electrical design, DC collection, AC collection, energy production, design, and/or the grid connection of Solar PV plus Energy Storage Systems.
