The Role

**The Role**:

- The Network and Security Engineer will design, implement, maintain, document, and diagnose network and security operations. They will be responsible for all data centre implementations. In addition, they will develop and maintain network architectural and security standards. Furthermore, they will assist with security audits and compliance activities when required.**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the data centres network and security support for all Perigord locations.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain Firewalls and Switches and other software components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any networking issues.
- Arrange scheduled upgrades and firmware updates.
- Responsible for advanced configuration and management of SonicWall’s Firewalls and GMS system including rules, routing, NAT, site to site VPNs and switching to maximise network efficiency and security.
- Perform advanced configurations and manage the Dell switching portfolio, LAG, LACP, VLT, VLANS, routes etc using CLI.
- Oversee the SonicWall - Secure Mobile Access (SMA) series - VPN configuration and management.
- Create Firewall rules for servers’ access over public networks and map in load balancers.
- Create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning of network and security systems.
- Document network operational processes as per ISO 27001 standards.
- Ensure network related security policies are continually updated.
- Deployment of SIEM tool.
- Running penetration vulnerability reports.
- Resolution of remediation actions for IT Security, for example, from penetration testing, vulnerability scanning.
- Participate in ISO and customer periodical audits.
- Support IT security audits and compliance activities. Completing any audit requirements.
- Investigate, acknowledge, and prevent network breaches.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience****:

- B.Tech or equivalent.
- Network and Security Certifications - CISA/CISM/CCNA/CISSP/ISO 27001.
- Knowledge of SonicWALL Firewalls, SonicWALL Secure Mobile Access (SMA) series and SonicWall Global Management System.
- Experienced in Firewall High Availability, Firewalls installations, configurations, upgrades and maintenance.
- Familiarity of Firmware Firewall Rules and NAT Rules.
- Knowledge of Firewall (NSA 2700, NSsp 10700, NSa 4700, 9200 HA).
- Understanding of HSRP, LAN, WAN and VLAN.
- Experience with Dell managed Switches (X1052P and N2048P) and HP managed Switches (V1910).
- Awareness of Public IP’s and Subnets.
- Demonstrable experience using DNS Global Site Load Balancer.
- Understanding of ISO 27001 standards.
- Previously involved with ISO and customer periodical audits.
- Comprehension of Office365 security and Cyber Security.
- Skilled in Darktrace.
- Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
- Familiarity with penetration and vulnerability testing.
- Knowledge of Real-Time Network Threat analyser.
- Previous experience with Network capacity planning.
- Understanding of Site to Site Tunnel, VPN and IPSec.
- Experience in DNS based Global Site Load Balancer (GSLB).
- Experience in implementation, configuration and troubleshooting of Zscaler system.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills.
