Operation Head - Machine Shop (PDC, GDC) in Automotive Industry
Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
Oversee the daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring that all processes are executed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Manage and optimize production processes to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
Ensure that quality standards are maintained at all times and that products meet the required specifications.
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste and improve cost-effectiveness.
Ensure that all equipment and machinery are maintained and serviced regularly to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Lead, coach and mentor team members, setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback and recognition.
Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Procurement to ensure the smooth operation of the machine shop and timely completion of projects.
Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring that all expenses are within budgetary constraints.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
At least 15-25 years of experience in machine shop operations in the automotive industry.
Proven track record of managing and leading a team of technicians, engineers, and production staff.
Strong technical expertise in PDC and GDC machining processes.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Experience in budget preparation and management.
Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
