- Collaborate with other health care specialists such as dentists and orthodontists on treatment plans
- Maintaining and monitoring patient records as well as detailed notes of appointments.
- Administering anesthetics, such as regional, local or general, to patients before surgery
- Performing surgeries to remove tumors, extract impacted teeth and place dental implants
- Prescribing medication to patients to control post-surgery pain and improve recovery
- Providing support and medical advice to patients
- Performing chin and cheekbones procedures and other minor cosmetic procedures
- Treating infections of the jaw, salivary glands, oral cavity, neck, and face
