Medical Officer

**Title: Medical Officer (Consultant Grade 2)**

MAQ Software (A software development consultancy) and our associated non-profit group entities are expanding our presence in Uttar Pradesh (UP). We are a group of optimists working to build a strong nation through our business and our social impact initiatives. We are working in mission mode to accelerate progress in our chosen sectors (Math education and eyecare). We are entrepreneurial, focused on excellence, and work hard to solve intractable social issues.

As a part of our fast-paced team, you will help drive and manage our operations and management activities. We are expanding our foundation program management office (PMO) to drive various initiatives across three sectors:

- Expand our software engineering center in NOIDA by establishing state-of-the-art engineering center in Sector 145 for support 2,500 engineers.
- Set up several eye hospitals to eliminate needless blindness, provide large volume, high quality, and affordable eye care.
- Running 50 computer labs in government schools in 12 UP districts for low-income students to teach Mathematics online. Presently, we provide digital access to over 70,000 students. We expect to expand to 20 UP districts and 100 secondary schools (average 1,250 students each) in the next year.

As a Medical Officer, your primary responsibilities will be to manage the daily operations of the UP-school health programs and provide management support

Key result areas as percentage of overall work items will be:
**Medical Operations Support (~80%)**
- Help implement strategy to increase our impact in multiple districts in UP in education and health sector.
- Represent the charitable foundation work with external agencies - schools, partner hospitals, nursing programs, etc.
- Conduct annual medical screening camps at 50 host schools (Two camps per week) - Recruit temporary medical staff to support medical screening programs.
- Recruit School Nurses in 12 UP districts to support 50 host charitable schools. Modeled after NITI Aayog Guidelines Page 15 of 17
- Partner with large eye care facilities (such as Dr. Shroff’s Charitable Eye Hospital system) to identify and train paramedical for potential recruitment.
- Integrate School Nurses with existing 50 school labs to ensure that they successfully support students.
- Inform about Jan Aushadhi Kendra for generic medicines and teach about nutrition.
- Visit schools and communities to understand the medical needs of students and their families.
- Counsel students and their families on healthy practices and nutrition Executive Support (~20%) - Assist the management team with special projects and assignments, as needed.
- Help organize meetings and support infrastructure to increase effectiveness of senior managers.

**Skills Required**:

- Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience leading diverse work teams, developing an organization-wide strategy for program excellence, engaging community partners, and partnering with the CEO.
- Fluency in Hindi and English.
- Ability to influence people across various seniority levels. - Strong interest in community and public health programs.
- Passionate about the mission and able to promote and communicate the philosophy, mission, and values to stakeholders.
- Prefer medical professionals with advanced training in Ophthalmology or Pediatrics
- An experience of at least 10 years in working with non-profit or defense related services
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to provide on-site leadership to our operating units and programs.

**CTC Offered**:

- 18 LPA per annum as a consultant

**Salary**: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
