**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities:

- Lesson Planning & Delivery**:

- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that align with the CBSE curriculum for Primary classes.
- Use a variety of teaching methods, including experiments, demonstrations, visual aids, models, and storytelling to make scientific concepts interesting and understandable.

**- Curriculum Implementation**:

- Follow the school’s prescribed curriculum, ensuring Science content is delivered effectively and age-appropriately.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, ensuring inclusivity in the classroom.
- Incorporate practical activities, simple experiments, and nature-based learning to help students relate to scientific ideas.

**- Classroom Management**:

- Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and disciplined classroom environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and collaborative learning.
- Ensure students handle lab materials and science equipment responsibly and safely.
- Promote teamwork and cooperation through group activities and projects.

**- Assessment & Feedback**:

- Regularly assess students’ understanding through classwork, quizzes, experiments, projects, and observations.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students strengthen their understanding and scientific thinking skills.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance, and communicate progress to parents and the school leadership.

**- Student Support & Enrichment**:

- Identify students who need additional support in understanding Science concepts and provide remedial assistance as required.
- Motivate students to participate in Science-related co-curricular activities such as Science exhibitions, quizzes, nature walks, and eco-club projects.
- Encourage students to observe and explore Science in their everyday lives, recommending age-appropriate books, videos, and experiments for home learning.

**- Parental Communication**:

- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding students’ academic progress and areas for improvement.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to discuss students’ performance and suggest ways parents can support learning at home.
- Share updates on classroom activities, experiments, and projects through newsletters or digital platforms.

**- Professional Development**:

- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Primary Science education.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to exchange resources, ideas, and innovative teaching strategies for continuous improvement of Science teaching.

**Qualifications & Skills**:
**- Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc.) with B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification is required.

**- Experience**:
Prior teaching experience in Science at the Primary school level in a CBSE environment is preferred.

**- Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of Primary Science concepts.
- Ability to explain scientific concepts in an engaging, clear, and age-appropriate manner.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Patience, creativity, and an enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Ability to plan and conduct safe, simple Science activities and experiments.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance learning.
