**Your Day with Equisoft**:

- Monitor and analyze logs and alerts from various security technologies, including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Triage security events to identify potential incidents and escalate as needed according to defined procedures.
- Investigate suspicious activity and assess the impact and scope of incidents.
- Assist in containment, eradication, and recovery efforts during active security incidents.
- Support the development and tuning of SIEM use cases and detection rules to improve threat visibility.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of security operations documentation, including incident reports, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to resolve vulnerabilities and misconfigurations discovered during investigations.
- Assist in the implementation and ongoing management of endpoint protection and threat detection solutions.
- Stay current with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends to help improve operational defenses.
- Participate in threat intelligence analysis and provide input on emerging risks to the environment.
- Support audit and compliance efforts by maintaining accurate incident records and operational evidence.

**Requirements**:
**Technical**
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC (GCIA, GCIH), or Microsoft SC-200 (asset)
- 5-7 years of experience in a systems/network administration role. Previous experience in security operations or incident response role is an asset.
- Experience with Linux and Windows OS administration
- Experience with Microsoft Azure administration
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel), EDR platforms (e.g., Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike), and network security technologies.
- Scripting or automation knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is an asset.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
