Key Responsibilities:

- **Interpreting Drawings**:Reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to plan fabrication and welding procedures.
- **Metal Preparation**:Cutting, shaping, and preparing metal components using various tools and equipment, including saws, shears, and bending machines.
- **Welding**:Performing welding tasks using different techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick) to join metal pieces according to specifications.
- **Fabrication**:Assembling fabricated metal components into finished products or structures, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
- **Quality Control**:Inspecting welds and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and safety regulations.
- **Equipment Operation and Maintenance**:Operating welding machines, hand tools, and other equipment safely and maintaining them in good working order.
- **Safety Compliance**:Following all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- **Collaboration**:Working with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- **Material Handling**:Lifting and moving metal materials and components, sometimes requiring physical exertion and the use of lifting equipment.
- **Problem Solving**:Troubleshooting issues that arise during fabrication and welding processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

- **Welding Expertise**: Proficiency in various welding techniques and procedures.
- **Metal Fabrication Skills**: Knowledge of metal cutting, shaping, and assembly techniques.
- **Blueprint Reading**: Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials.
- **Attention to Detail**: Accuracy and precision in welding and fabrication tasks.
- **Safety Awareness**: Understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
- **Communication**: Effective communication with team members and supervisors.
