- Job Overview
- As a DevOps Lead Consultant, you will be responsible for providing best practices in DevOps, identify
- avenues to improve the DevOps KPIs, mentor and coach team in DevOps practices, including providing
- necessary technical and process documentation. Review existing IOT solution from AWS infrastructure
- and design principles and recommend improvements for infrastructure cost and security. Guiding the
- DevOps team to improvise their skills and capability in DevOps and build a roadmap for SRE.**Responsibilities**:
- Provide effective and efficient solutions and Industry best practices in DevOps
- Identify gaps in current DevOps practices and provide actionable recommendations
- Identify skill gaps in team and provide roadmap for capability building
- Identify avenues to improve the DevOps KPIs & actively monitor the progress
- Provide effective technical leadership to operations team and define actions to be taken by them

for day to day work- Provide monthly updates on KPIs and their progress
- Coach, train, and develop Operations Center staff to transform to Site Reliability Engineers
- Prospect opportunities to automate manual activities of operations team. Identify & adopt best

practices in bringing efficiencies in operations keeping an eye on cost for the automation.- Work collaboratively with IOT architects & Enterprise Architects
- Understand the behavior of Whirlpool connected products and its domain

Must Have- Bachelor's degree in computer science/technology
- 10+ years of experience in managing cloud infrastructure in AWS using DevOps best practices
- Strong experience in working with ITIL model and Agile scrum methodology
- Strong understanding of distributed systems on cloud
- Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies and thorough understanding of scalable,

highly available, secure and robust n-tier architectures- Exposure to one or more of the following IoT technology stack and delivery components such as:
Machine Interaction Model, machine to machine, Web Service Integration, Continuous
- Integration/Deployment (CICD) pipeline components, Mobile development process, Agile/Scrum
- project Methodology- Experience facilitating effective communication across cross functional teams ranging from

highly technical resources to business resources and spread out over North America, Asia and
- Europe- Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to deliver on time and work under deadline pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead a team of IoT developers and build innovative IP solutions that showcase

thought-leadership and creativity- Passionate about learning new technologies and creating innovative solutions
- Self-directed and able to troubleshoot and solve problems independently as well as a team
- Understand the fundamentals of vendor contracts, negotiations, proposals, and ongoing

governance of outsourced relationships- Good understanding of Change Management Process

Technical Skill Sets- Expertise in areas of CEP (Complex Event Processing), Rule Engines (BRMS), Streaming

Analytics, Big Data, etc.- Hands on experience in implementing industry-scale IoT solutions on at least one cloud platform

such as AWS- Good working experience on Web Service Integration, REST APIs, WebSockets, Message Hub and

Broker Interface- Web Services (SOAP & REST), Interoperability Standards(JSON, API Mgmt)
- Basic understanding of Microservices, ESB and any app server.
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts such as NLB, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, CDN, and

VPC- Sound knowledge and understanding of data security
- High-level knowledge about key security concepts such as firewalls
- Experience working with CI & automation tools like Jenkins, Github, Docker / Kubernetes,

CloudFront, Terraform.- Good experience on reading and interpreting testing report and debugging using tools like

Postman, Charles, Kibana, CloudWatch- Experience in AWS services like IOT Core, EKS, MSK, SNS, ESB, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudWatch,

IAM, Lambda, ElastiCache, Route53, Federated credentials management, Cognito users, Security
