- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills
- Knowledge of current trends and technology to support online learning including tools such as Captivate, Articulate, Storyline, and others
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and fact-based decision-making abilities
- Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
- Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
- Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Camtasia, SnagIt, Captivate) and ability to storyboard
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
