ROLES AND RESPONSIBITIES
- B-Tech Civil Degree is mandatory.

1. Project Planning and Coordination

Site preparation: Ensure that the site is ready for interior work, including clearing, material setup, and safety precautions.

Coordination with contractors: Liaise with interior designers, architects, contractors, and labor teams to ensure all activities are aligned with the project plan.

Scheduling: Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, ensuring that each stage of work is completed on time.

2. On-Site Supervision

Oversee daily operations: Supervise the work of contractors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, and other workers to ensure that the interior work is being executed as per the design plan.

Quality control: Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure that they meet the project's specifications and standards.

Problem-solving: Address any issues that arise on-site, such as delays, supply shortages, or technical problems, to prevent disruptions to the project.

3. Compliance with Design Plans

Interpret design drawings: Ensure that all work adheres to the interior design plans, blueprints, and specifications provided by the designers or architects.

Ensure design accuracy: Make sure that all aspects of the interior work, such as flooring, cabinetry, electrical, and painting, are carried out precisely according to the design details.

Provide updates to designers: Communicate regularly with designers and architects to report on progress and address any necessary design adjustments.

4. Safety Management

Enforce safety regulations: Ensure that all workers adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and injuries.

Site inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective measures where needed.

5. Material Management

Track material usage: Monitor the usage of construction and design materials to avoid wastage and ensure that they are used according to project specifications.

Inventory control: Manage the supply of materials, ensuring timely procurement and availability to prevent delays.

Ensure quality of materials: Inspect materials delivered to the site to confirm they meet the required standards and are free from defects.

6. Labor Management

Team supervision: Supervise and manage laborers and subcontractors, ensuring that they are clear on their tasks and responsibilities.

Assign tasks: Delegate duties to workers based on their skills and the project requirements, ensuring efficient workflow.

Monitor performance: Ensure that workers perform efficiently and maintain productivity to meet project deadlines.

7. Budget Management

Monitor costs: Track expenses and ensure that the project stays within budget, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.

Cost control: Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality, such as optimizing labor or sourcing materials efficiently.

8. Progress Reporting

Daily/weekly reports: Prepare and submit progress reports to project managers, designers, or clients, including updates on timelines, budget, and any challenges faced.

Client communication: Provide clients with periodic updates on the progress of the interior work and address their queries or concerns.

9. Issue Resolution

On-the-spot decisions: Make quick decisions to resolve unexpected issues on-site, such as delays, technical difficulties, or design changes.

Conflict resolution: Mediate any disputes between workers, contractors, or clients to keep the project on track.

10. Final Inspections and Handover

Inspect completed work: Perform a final inspection of all work to ensure it meets quality standards and design specifications.

Ensure readiness for handover: Ensure that the site is clean, organized, and ready for handover to the client.

Coordinate final touch-ups: Oversee any final adjustments or repairs needed before the client’s review.
