**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform system maintenance, including installation and upgrades using SMP/E.
- Manage and administer mainframe environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Perform system tuning, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure system security and compliance with corporate policies and standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior system administrators and other IT staff.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support critical system operations.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- 7+ years of experience in Mainframe System Administration.
- Extensive experience with SMP/E, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of mainframe software.
- Strong knowledge of z/OS, JES2/JES3, RACF, VTAM, TCP/IP, and other mainframe components.
- Experience in system performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with mainframe security protocols and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages is a plus.

**Educational Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
