**This position reports to**:
Operations Manager

**Your role and responsibilities**:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team. Work model: on site #LI-onsite This role belongs to Motion Business for Drive products division, based in Bangalore
- Peenya, India You will be mainly accountable for: - Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement EMS category strategies, streamlined with global category strategies. - Supply Chain Resilience: Develop and implement strategies to enhance supply chain resilience, develop regional supply chain footprints, ensuring business continuity, and mitigating risks associated with supply chain disruptions. - Supplier Management: Manage and develop relationships with EMS suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness, availability, and reliable and flexible performance. - Supplier Negotiations: Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable agreements with suppliers. - Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the EMS category. - Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing processes and supplier performance.

**Qualifications for the role**:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical /Mechanical engineering
- 5 years of experience in direct material purchase and success in sourcing and category management
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, Excel, Power BI, and other Microsoft tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability and resilience to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a can-do attitude.
- Strategic thinking with a focus on long-term goals and a global mindset.
