**Job Profile: Dental X-Ray Technician**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform dental X-ray procedures, including bitewings, periodicals, and panoramic radiographs.
- Prepare and position patients for X-ray imaging, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and cleanliness.
- Process and interpret X-ray images, ensuring high-quality results for diagnostic purposes.
- Assist dentists in diagnosing and treatment planning based on radiographic findings.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Educate patients about the X-ray process and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in radiologic technology preferred.
- Valid state license or certification for X-ray technicians.
- Experience in a dental setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is beneficial.

**Work Environment**: This position typically takes place in a dental office, requiring interaction with patients and staff in a fast-paced environment.
