**Job Title**: Fashion Designer - Indian Ethnic Women’s Tops

**Location**: [Hadapsar, Pune]

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Design Development**: Conceptualize and create original designs for Indian ethnic women’s tops, blending traditional and contemporary styles.
- **Trend Research**: Stay updated on current fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques within the Indian ethnic wear segment.
- **Sketching & Illustration**: Produce detailed sketches and illustrations for new designs, including color schemes and patterns.
- **Material Selection**: Source and select high-quality fabrics, embellishments, and other materials that align with the design concept.
- **Prototype Creation**: Collaborate with tailors and artisans to create prototypes and ensure that the final product meets design specifications.
- **Quality Control**: Monitor the production process to ensure high standards of quality, fit, and finish in all garments.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to understand customer preferences and market demands.
- **Collection Presentation**: Develop seasonal collections, presenting new designs to the team and incorporating feedback into the final lineup.
- **Continuous Learning**: Keep abreast of new techniques, materials, and fashion innovations in the industry.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in designing Indian ethnic wear, particularly women’s tops.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in ethnic wear design, including sketches and finished products.
- Knowledge of traditional Indian fabrics, embroidery, and printing techniques (e.g., Bandhani, Chikankari, Kalamkari).
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Strong sense of aesthetics, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly fashion practices.
- Understanding of garment construction and tailoring.
- Knowledge of the Indian fashion market and customer preferences.
