**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Ensuring smooth functioning of designated floor and responsibilities assigned.
- Being a clinical point of contact from the time of admission to discharge.
- Complete a brief admission examination on each patient when appropriate and document clinical findings.
- Attend ward rounds with consulting staff, as required, and be available to discuss patient treatment plans.
- Follow the instructions of consultants for their specific regime for each individual patient.
- Going on quick rounds with other MOs at the time of shift handover so there is clarity of current patients health.
- Rechecking MO-nights prescribed medication orders.
- Checking patients prescribed medication and whether it is properly administered
- Monitoring vitals like BP etc.
- Informing about the patients GC
- Inform admitting consultants of changes in medical condition of patients and of relevant action taken.
- Facilitating patient investigations in the hospital

Coordinating with other departments during patient investigation.
- Preparing discharge summaries and updating it on V-Care.
- To provide a full report to Resident Medical Officer commencing the next shift.
- To record all treatments performed in patient notes.
- To participate in clinical audit and implementation of clinical governance.

To be familiar with center and company clinical policies. To be aware of the centers clinical risk program and report clinical incidents, drug errors and near misses.
