**Job Purpose**
- Plan, monitor, and control the operation of Die Design and Simulation activities to ensure the availability of high-quality validated die designs for manufacturing.
- Development of 3D models of the prepared designs and validate through simulation methods before releasing for manufacturing.
- Adopt standardization process initiated in Hindalco
- To study and provide timely feasibility to marketing team for the enquiries generated
- Upgrade the designs based on the die performance feedback from the plants

**Supporting Actions**

1. Die Design
- (To ensure design of dies to meet regular market requirement)2
- Assist dies design activities.
- To ensure revision of design parameters to achieve the best productivity.
- Monitor and ensure incorporation of feedback received from production to get better results.
- To ensure regular feedback from marketing and ensure incorporation of
- changes in design.

**2. Die modelling**
- To ensure solid modelling of the die with many iterations to get the right
- metal flow during the execution.
- Consider the manufacturing constraint in the design through modelling process to minimize the die manufacturing time.
- Upgrade the Die modelling process continually with latest technology software - Q form / MTD (Phoenix)

**3. Technology transfer**
- Absorption of technology from technology partners/ Various other resources
- Implementation of the leading industry practices
- Ensuring key elements of the technology transfer agreement is implemented
- Managing the technology transfer relationship with the partner

**4. Customer Centricity**
- Support customers to develop new products, in terms of feasibility, Alternate options etc
- Provide counter drawings, Cost details on time
- Monitor and ensure the sample approval process is completed

**5. Die manufacturing**
- Support manufacturing team by providing accurate and timely die designs

**6. Cost Reduction**
- (To implement effective utilization of resources to achieve minimum cost)
- Develop die designs to improve productivity and life of the dies.
- To develop high quality die steels
- To regularly upgrade the design for achieving best die results
- Monitor and improve KPI through use of digital technologies and analytics projects

**7. People Development**
- (Build and develop skills of people to enable them to contribute effectively in operation.)
- Grievance redressal for healthy work culture
- Appraisal & Counseling for career growth
- Multi-skilling and on-the-job training
- Develop skills of all employees in Die Shops

**8. Standardization of process**
- Implement standardization initiatives in the plant
- Prepare Standardization documents and keep ready for use.

**9. Digitalization and Projects**
- Complete the die shop project according to the timeline.
- Purchase software and hardware for the die shop project
- Initiate actions to develop suitable MES and ERP for the new die shop.

**10. Safety.**
- (To ensure safe work practices and procedures at work place)
- Monitor and ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at work
- Regularly counsel workers to follow safe working procedures
- Maintain safe working conditions in the Die Shop.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor Of Technology,Diploma

**Minimum Experience Level**:
15-20 Years
