**Job Summary**: The Copy Editor is responsible for reviewing, editing, and improving the content of articles, features, and other editorial pieces for our newspaper. This role ensures that all content adheres to the newspaper's style guide, is free of grammatical and factual errors, and is well-organized and easy to read. The Copy Editor collaborates with writers, reporters, and other editorial staff to produce high quality journalism that meets the publication's standards and deadlines.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Content Review**:Review and edit articles, headlines, captions, and other content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax errors.

**Fact-Checking**: Verify the accuracy of facts, statistics, and statements to ensure all content is reliable and trustworthy.

**Style Adherence**:Ensure all content complies with the newspaper's style guide and editorial standards, making adjustments as necessary to maintain consistency.

**Clarity and Readability**: Improve the clarity, structure, and overall readability of articles while maintaining the original tone and intent of the author.

**Headline Writing**:Craft compelling, accurate, and attention-grabbing headlines that reflect the content and encourage readership.

**Coordination**: Work closely with writers, reporters, and other editorial staff to address any questions or issues regarding content.

**Deadlines**:Manage time effectively to meet tight publishing deadlines, often working under pressure to ensure content is ready for publication.

**Feedback**: Provide constructive feedback to writers and reporters to help them improve their writing and adhere to editorial standards.

**Digital Editing**:Edit content for online publication, including formatting for web standards, adding hyperlinks, and ensuring SEO compliance.

**Proofreading**: Perform final proofreading of pages before they go to print, catching any last minute errors or inconsistencies.

**Adaptation**:Adjust content for different platforms, such as online, print, and social media, ensuring each version meets the medium's requirements.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Schedule:
