Web Automator

Job Position - Part-time (Regular)

Rate - 4-6 USD per hour

**Job Summary**

The Web Automator will be responsible for improving our workforce productivity by integrating workflows/processes and deploying automations. This will be achieved through a combination of No-Code and Low-Code platforms, headless browsers like Puppeteer/Playwright, and coding in JavaScript - in particular using the Node.JS library. The Web Automator will also support our organisation in general IT including data backups, software version control, server scripting, etc.

**Responsibilities**
- Enable the team of non-technical remote workers to reduce manual work by automating workflows in the organisation’s systems and processes
- Workflow components will include both of the following classes:
Sites with API's:
v - Generally Software as a Service (SaaS) tools, which include but are not limited to:

- o Google Workspace
- o Zoho Office Suite
- o Slack
- o Evernote
- o Clickup
- o Airtable

v each team will also have tools unique to their department

Ø Sites without API's

v accessible using a username and password

v sometimes may be protected by captchas
- Integration and automation will initially be achieved for these two site classes as follows:
Ø For sites with API's

v Use No-Code and Low-Code platforms to rapidly prototype and deploy automations.

Ø For sites without API's

v use headless browsers like Puppeteer/ Playwright to develop in-house API's

v link these API's up to our in-house automation systems
- The efficiency of each of the above automation system classes will be improved by:
Ø migrating more workload from cloud-based service providers to in-house self-hosted solutions
- The longer-term automation platform will be

Ø completely self-hosted, and self-coded

Ø built upon a Node.JS backbone

Ø widely utilise JavaScript in attaining fine control and support

In this section, we provide more technical details of a few of the responsibilities mentioned above:

- Develop in-house API's for websites which have no API's

Ø API functions will include but are not limited to:
v bypassing captchas

v retrieving information from the sites

v sending/receiving messages on messaging systems within the sites

v filling and submitting forms on the sites
- e.g. post an online ad
- uploading pictures and ad text
- filling in answers to questions by the platform
- clicking the submit button
- Develop efficiency improvements to automation solutions:
Ø Correct the errors within automation and integration processes

Ø Continually explore and implement new ways to automate and integrate workflows and tools
- General IT

Ø Automate regular data backups at both local network and cloud storages

Ø Provide technical support and resolve network and technical issues

Ø Prepare accurate, timely reports and procedural documentation

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or related degrees.
- Solid experience with Node.JS library is a MUST ( since Puppeteer/Playwright and Airtable are all built upon Node.JS)
- Proven experience in website automation and scraping using headless browsers
- Proven expertise in automation and integration of SaaS or cloud-based tools
- Demonstrated experience or keen interest in low-code and no-code development

**Skills**
- Must be an expert in using headless browsers (e.g. Playwright/Puppeteer) for website automation and scraping
- Must be experienced in Node.JS
- Must be highly experienced in JavaScript, knowing its quirks and workarounds
- Experienced in using No Code/Low-Code platforms, or have expressed inclination and aptitude towards such technologies
- Must be familiar with REST API
- Must be highly skilled in JSON string manipulation
- Expert in regular expressions
- Working knowledge of SQL and Python
- Must be familiar with version control, project management tools and have a strong documentation ethic
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to express and present effectively.
- Can work independently and with strong problem-solving skills
- Process-oriented and with very keen attention to details

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

**Salary**: ₹332.00 - ₹498.00 per hour
