**Key Responsibilities**:
**Academic Responsibilities**
- **Teach Economics** to senior secondary students (Classes 11 & 12).
- Prepare **lesson plans** aligned with the CBSE curriculum and **NCERT textbooks**.
- Use **activity-based learning** and **case studies** to explain economic concepts.
- Conduct **classroom assessments, quizzes, and tests** as per CBSE guidelines.
- Prepare students for **board exams** with model papers, revisions, and doubt-clearing sessions.

**Curriculum Planning**
- Develop **unit plans, yearly academic calendars**, and **remedial schedules**.
- Incorporate **interdisciplinary approaches**—linking economics with business studies, political science, and current affairs.
- Use **ICT tools**, smart boards, and multimedia presentations for engaging lessons.

**Evaluation and Record-Keeping**
- Design and evaluate **internal assessments** (Periodic Tests, Half-Yearly, and Pre-Board exams).
- Maintain **student performance records**, progress reports, and attendance.
- Help in CBSE documentation like **CBSE sample paper mapping**, **Bloom’s Taxonomy**, and **lesson objectives**.

**Student Mentoring**
- Guide students in choosing **higher education paths**:

- Conduct **counseling sessions** for academically weak students.
- Help students participate in **Economics Olympiads, MUNs**, and interschool quizzes.

**Administrative Duties**
- Participate in **PTMs (Parent-Teacher Meetings)**, annual day events, and school exhibitions.
- Take part in **exam invigilation**, CBSE practical, and school inspections.
- Help in managing **school clubs** like the Economics Club, Budgeting Club, or Financial Literacy campaigns.

**Skills Required**:

- **Teaching Skills**: Ability to simplify complex concepts and engage students effectively.
- **Communication Skills**: Both verbal and written communication should be clear and impactful.
- **Analytical Thinking**: To explain the implications of economic policies and trends.
