Our client is a leading firm in the IT Services industry looking for a Junior System Administrator who would be committed to the long-term success of the business maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. Should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

Tasks
- Analyze programs and apps to improve their features and functionalities;
- Test & debug programs and fix any reported bugs;
- Analyze programs and apps to improve their features and functionalities;
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for prioritizing problems, and assess the impact of issues;
- Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures;
- Collaborate with the tech team to improve the performance, efficiency, and scalability of tools;
**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field;
- Programming skills in Java is a plus;
- Basic knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent;
- Basic knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols;
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools;
- Knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols;
