Introduction:
This is a great opportunity to help drive forward the strategy of a major expanding area within this global Bank on a strategy programme of work.

What will you be doing?

50% - Technical Leadership
- Liaising with BA’s and Project Managers for clarity development requirements
- Collaborating with business analysts and senior colleagues in order to determine the functional and technical specifications
- Developing work breakdown structures and detailed estimates, assisting in project planning and related project artefacts
- Highlight risks and opportunities, planning mitigating actions and documenting them in a log
- Hands-on involvement with the design of solutions
- Perform reviews of technical specifications, code and artifacts produced by the team
- Oversight of the development team during the implementation of the solution
- Liaising closely with the test teams to ensure that QA processes are relevant and thorough
- Working with the release teams to ensure smooth deliveries
- Reviewing the progress of a project according to its plan, maintaining and reporting status updates to the development manager and stake holders
- Ensure processes and practices are followed, documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off, and defects are tracked & closed
- Hands on development, organize and provide support during SIT, QA and UAT test phases
- Provide technical expertise on Java/ PL/SQL, SQL Server and Cloud technologies

25% - Communication and Administration
- Coordinating with SMEs and BAs to conduct regular Knowledge Transfer (KT) to development team and enhancing the overall business skills within the group
- Acting as a point of contact within Pune for individual projects

25% - Release and Tier 3 Support
- Ensure release plans and coordinating release walkthroughs with the environment managers and RTB teams
- Acting as escalation point of contact for support team, investigating and resolving issues found in production
- Providing on-call support for releases where necessary
- Ensure requests from the RTB support team is promptly responded

Handle technical issues that are out of scope for the support staff.

What we’re looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 15+ years of total work experience in a relevant IT industry, of which 6 years of experience as a Senior Dev. And 6 + years as Solution Architect
- 5+ years of experience in building Java based frameworks on micro services platforms. End to designing of frameworks and platforms.
- Hands on experience in Java and Pl/SQL.
- Experience with REST API services.
- Knowledge and building solution based of microservices-oriented architecture
- Experience with source code control systems such a git/GitHub.
- Practical experience with development infrastructure / CI (TeamCity, SonarQube, Atlassian Stack)
- Able to represent code changes impact to technical team
- Able Participate on production calls and help to resolve
- Analytical skills; ability to investigate and resolve issues in a high-pressured environment
- Strong ability to analyse data; attention to detail and good quantitative ability.
- Played the lead role in an investment bank

- Understanding of Agile SDLC concepts; Understanding of Scrum/Kanban Agile SDLC methodology.
- Good understanding of investment banking, and the industry sector
