Dean - Faculty of Law

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology. In this role, you will provide strategic direction, academic leadership, and oversight for our doctorate degree programs in engineering and technology.

Key responsibilities include:
Program Development and Oversight
- Lead the development and enhancement of doctorate degree programs in engineering and technology
- Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to design and update program curriculum to meet academic standards and align with industry needs

Faculty Recruitment and Development
- Recruit, mentor, and retain highly qualified faculty members for the doctorate programs
- Provide guidance and support to faculty in their research and teaching activities
- Promote professional development opportunities and foster a culture of academic excellence and innovation

Research and Scholarly Activity
- Foster a vibrant research environment within engineering and technology programs
- Encourage faculty and doctoral students to engage in impactful research, secure external funding, publish in reputable journals, and present at conferences
- Promote interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships with industry and other academic institutions

Student Recruitment and Admissions
- Create a supportive environment for doctoral students, addressing their unique needs and fostering their academic and professional development

Curriculum and Program Assessment
- Oversee the design, review, and enhancement of doctorate program curricula to provide a rigorous and comprehensive educational experience
- Regularly assess program outcomes and make data-driven improvements to maintain program excellence

Collaboration and Partnerships
- Foster collaborations and partnerships with industry, research organizations, and other academic institutions to enhance research opportunities and industry relevance of doctorate programs
- Facilitate joint research projects, internships, and industry-sponsored initiatives that promote knowledge exchange and experiential learning

Accreditation and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards for the doctorate programs
- Prepare accreditation reports, participate in accreditation reviews, and implement recommendations for program improvement

Resources and Budget Management
- Manage the resources and budget allocated to the doctorate programs
- Advocate for adequate funding, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure financial sustainability
- Support faculty and students in accessing research grants, scholarships, and other funding opportunities

Institutional Leadership and Representation
- Represent the engineering and technology doctorate programs within the institution, at professional conferences, and in external forums
- Participate in institutional committees, contribute to strategic planning processes, and collaborate with other academic leaders to advance the overall goals and mission of the institution
- An advanced degree in engineering, technology, or a related field as per UGC norms.
- Significant experience in academic leadership, program development, and faculty management
- A proven track record of securing external funding and fostering industry partnerships
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with faculty, students, and stakeholders
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the academic community
- Locals from Vadodara will be preferred
