**Companies Correspondent, India**

Reuters is seeking a reporter to cover major Indian and international companies at a time of rapid economic growth. India has just become the world's most populous country with the youngest workforce and a proliferating consumer class. We are looking for a versatile reporter who can break news from within the big firms as they seek to dominate a vast national market but also someone who has a gripping story to tell about smaller businesses or industries.

**About You**:

- An individual with a strong background in companies news reporting in India, with a track record of delivering exclusives, building strong sources and covering news with accuracy and context.
- Be able to perform quickly under pressure to produce stories that appeal to clients who rely on Reuters to help make investment decisions
- An individual with excellent people skills who will safeguard Reuters' editorial and ethical standards, adhering to style, guidelines and policies.

As a **Companies Corresponden**t you will:

- Report and write on big firms including Reliance, Adani and Tatas.
- Deliver deeper stories, go beyond the headlines
- Collaborate with colleagues across Reuters for stories

**Experience & Expectations**
- At least five years as a financial journalist, preferably companies news reporting
- Excellent people and networking skills
- Strong written and spoken English
- A good grasp of economics
