Position Overview:
A company driver is responsible for safely transporting goods, materials, or personnel to and from specified locations. They operate company vehicles following all traffic laws and regulations while ensuring the timely delivery of goods or passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely operate company vehicles such as cars, vans, trucks, or buses to transport goods or passengers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any defects or issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries or pickups, considering factors such as traffic conditions, road closures, and weather conditions.
- Load and unload goods or assist passengers with getting in and out of the vehicle as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, or customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or any other relevant information.
- Follow specific instructions for handling and securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and helpful to passengers or customers.
- Adhere to company policies regarding vehicle use, including restrictions on personal use and adherence to scheduled maintenance.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or traffic violations to the appropriate authorities and follow company protocols for handling such situations.
- Attend training sessions or workshops to improve driving skills, safety knowledge, or other relevant areas as required by the company.

Qualifications:

- Valid driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
- Clean driving record with no history of major violations or accidents.
- Previous experience as a driver preferred, but not always required.
- Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Good communication skills to interact with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Physical ability to load and unload goods if required.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours or weekends if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
