**Accountant Job Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the monthly close process, which includes recording and reviewing journal entries; preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and researching fluxes.
- Manage day-to-day operation and month end close to ensure deadlines and deliverables are submitted accurately and on time, advising team on journal validation/ substantiation and supporting to ensure proper audit trails
- Journal booking and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, as required or needed
- Act as an escalation point for any issues involving month end, quarter, year-end close. Monitor and manage issues, escalations and/or exceptional handling requests
- Responsible for cash clearing, month end accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries within the corporate accounting function.
- Responsible for general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Coordinate audit and tax requests including preparation of supporting reports and documentation.
- Assist in development and implementation of new policies and procedures.
- Advise on new or changed accounting principles and practices that impact Accounting.
- Act as a primary point of contact with Central Accounting team
- Other projects as assigned based on business needs.
